Overview:

One of the fastest growing banks in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Senior CRE Underwriter to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a well-established, mid-sized bank that combines the resources of a larger institution with the collaborative, relationship-driven culture of a community bank. You will be joining a newly established commercial real estate/construction team focusing on the underwriting of new deals.

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite and structure construction/CRE deals ranging from $5-$50MM.
• Report on the assigned portfolio, including asset quality, stress testing, industry and market analysis, asset allocation, reserves, and non-performing loan analysis.
• Prepare credit reviews to assess asset quality, including performance against original underwriting expectations.
• Manage relationships with clients in portfolio.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree qualified with 6+ years of experience within credit underwriting and commercial banking.
• Knowledge of construction and commercial real estate products.
• Proven experience managing pipeline of loans.
• Strong financial analysis, credit analysis, and risk management.
