About the Role

At JCW Group, we’re partnering with a leading fintech-focused banking organization to recruit a Senior Associate – Third Party Financial Risk. This role sits within the risk management function and plays a critical part in overseeing financial risk associated with third-party vendors and partners. You will support the bank’s third-party risk framework, ensuring strong governance, regulatory compliance, and effective risk mitigation across fintech and banking relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for a risk professional with a background in financial audit and financial risk who enjoys working in a fast-paced, highly regulated fintech banking environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial risk assessments of third-party vendors, fintech partners, and service providers
  • Analyze financial statements, audit reports, and overall financial condition of third parties
  • Leverage financial audit experience to identify control gaps, financial weaknesses, and emerging risks
  • Support the end-to-end third-party risk management lifecycle, including onboarding, monitoring, and offboarding
  • Prepare risk assessments, memos, and reporting for senior management and risk committees
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory expectations related to third-party and vendor risk management
  • Partner closely with Procurement, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Business stakeholders
  • Monitor key risk indicators and escalate potential financial and operational risks
  • Assist with audits, regulatory exams, and internal reviews related to third-party risk
  • Contribute to enhancements of third-party risk policies, procedures, and controls

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field
  • 4–7 years of experience in financial audit, third-party risk, vendor risk, or financial risk within banking or financial services
  • Public accounting or internal audit experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, internal controls, and risk assessment methodologies
  • Experience working in a regulated banking or fintech environment strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of third-party risk management frameworks and regulatory guidance
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with third-party risk platforms a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
