About the Role

JCW Group is partnering with a leading regional financial services organization to hire a Senior Internal Auditor for its growing Internal Audit team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced audit professional who wants to join a well-respected institution and gain broad exposure across corporate functions and enterprise risk. Key Responsibilities:

• Execute complex, technically advanced audits across corporate functions, including finance, accounting, compliance, legal, HR, marketing, security, facilities, and corporate real estate
• Assess enterprise risk, operational risk, and third-party risk, and evaluate the effectiveness of key controls
• Develop clear findings and practical recommendations to strengthen policies, procedures, and operating efficiency
• Evaluate compliance with applicable laws and regulations and help assess the impact of upcoming regulatory changes on the audit plan
• Conduct follow-up reviews to confirm that significant audit exceptions are being corrected
• Prepare reports and analyses that highlight trends and communicate results to stakeholders
• Review peer work papers and coach and mentor fellow auditors (individual contributor role, no direct reports)

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years of internal audit or control assessment experience within banking or financial services
• Experience executing large, complex audits and a strong understanding of financial institution operations and regulatory requirements
• Advanced Excel skills, with data analysis tools such as ACL, IDEA, or similar a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related quantitative field
• CIA, CPA, CFA, or CISA preferred. Strong candidates without a certification should be willing to earn one (such as the CIA) within their first six months
• Big 4 or public accounting background a plus
• Motivated, growth-minded, and confident communicator with a clear view of where you want your career to go
