Deputy Company Secretary – Insurance Sector (Belgium)

Brussels / Antwerp – Hybrid Working

For one of our clients in the insurance and financial services sector, we are looking to hire a Deputy Company Secretary to support governance, legal, and board management activities within an international organisation. The role sits within the Compliance department and reports to the Company Secretary.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate board and committee meetings (agendas, packs, minutes, action tracking).
• Maintain and update all corporate records, statutory registers, and internal governance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with corporate law and regulatory requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
• File corporate documentation with authorities and manage shareholder-related queries.
• Monitor legal and governance developments and support the improvement of governance practices.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (senior management, business units) and external parties (auditors, lawyers, regulators).
• Assist in drafting legal documents, corporate decisions, and managing notarisation or powers of attorney.

Profile

• Degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in corporate governance, company secretarial roles, or corporate legal support.
• Experience in the financial services sector (insurance, banking, asset management) is required.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex information.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch or French, with a fluent level of English.
• Strong command of Microsoft 365.
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 20%).

Senior KYC Analyst (Temporary) – Belgium

Working within an international FinTech company that offers you a relaxed and informal working environment. You play an important role in onboarding customers, prepare risk analysis and make recommendations.

Responsibilities 

• Operational KYC work to onboard customers
• Prepare risk analyzes for our customers and make recommendations based on the results and record this adequately
• Act as a money laundering prevention detective
• The handling of inheritances, transaction monitoring and transfers
• Work as a team to check others work and give feedback

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in KYC/CDD in the financial services
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in French and English or Dutch
