About the Role

At JWC Search, we’re partnering with a well-established and forward-thinking Bank in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area to find a standout Internal Audit Manager with a focus on Operations. As the Internal Audit Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading audits that span branch operations, lending, member services, and other core functions. Reporting to the Chief Auditor, you’ll be a trusted advisor across the business, identifying risks, improving controls, and enhancing efficiency across operational areas

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and lead operational audits across departments and business units
• Identify control gaps and areas for process improvement
• Develop audit programs and reporting tailored to key operational risks
• Collaborate with management to develop practical, risk-based solutions
• Support the Director in developing the annual audit plan
• Supervise and mentor junior audit staff

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive internal audit or risk management experience
• Background in financial services, banking, or credit unions strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of operational controls and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Professional Certification required
• A collaborative and curious mindset with high integrity
