An established and reputable banking institution is seeking an Auto Asset Recovery Manager to lead all aspects of repossession operations, Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI), and total loss claims. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the recovery and disposition of bank-owned vehicles while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the assignment of defaulted auto loans to approved recovery agents, ensuring adherence to regulatory and company policies.
Lead and manage a team of approximately 6, including coordinators, supervisors, and support staff.
Coordinate with auto auctions to assess and maximize the resale value of repossessed vehicles.
Evaluate damaged collateral and file insurance claims as needed.
Review loan files for inconsistencies or potential fraud and escalate to appropriate departments.
Approve and oversee post-sale processes, including the assignment of deficiency balances to collections agencies or legal representatives.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in auto loan recovery, repossession, or a related financial services role.
Strong understanding of vehicle values and the auto resale market.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for tracking and reporting.
