Instrumentation & Controls Engineer (Nuclear)

JCW Group have partnered with a major player in the energy sector, supporting modernization and compliance efforts across the Southeast, specifically on high-impact initiatives with one of the region’s most recognized utilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support I&C system design efforts in compliance with nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Configure and implement virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware) and Cisco networking solutions within highly regulated environments.
  • Oversee the installation, integration, and testing of firewalls and other critical network infrastructure in nuclear facilities.
  • Coordinate with multidiscipline teams to ensure successful project execution, while providing technical oversight on cybersecurity posture and design integrity.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with nuclear standard design processes and NRC-compliant engineering practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco network hardware, including firewall equipment, and related configuration tools.
  • Demonstrated capability in installing or configuring networking systems within nuclear facilities.
  • Background as a Senior Electrical or I&C Engineer with strong familiarity across virtualization platforms such as VMware.
