JCW is currently seeking an experienced Product Manager on behalf of a well-respected specialty carrier looking to expand their commercial P&C product portfolio during a period of rapid premium expansion. This is a newly created role with direct visibility to senior leadership and a high-impact opportunity to shape product strategy across multiple lines—including casualty, liability, inland marine, and commercial property. You’ll report directly to the VP of Product Management and partner across Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, and Tech to develop, execute, and optimize product performance.

What You’ll Do:

• Own and manage commercial P&C products across multiple states and lines
• Lead development of new product launches and rate/form changes
• Analyze profitability, sales metrics, retention, and loss trends
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop product strategies that deliver impact
• Coach and mentor Product Analysts (you’ll eventually lead a team of 3)
• Support regulatory filings, ensure compliance, and oversee system implementations

What We’re Looking For:

• 5–7+ years of product management experience, ideally in P&C insurance
• Solid understanding of commercial casualty and liability lines (bonus: exposure to inland marine or property)
• Experience working with forms, rates, rules, and filings
• Prior experience managing or mentoring team members
• Must be San Diego-based and able to work on-site 2 or 3 days/week
