JCW are currently working together with a leading specialised US tax firm in the search for a senior professional to join their private clients focused tax team in their Zürich or Geneva office.

For this position, we are searching for candidates with the following background:

• 5–10 years’ experience in US individual tax (ideally Big 4 or international boutique)
• Strong exposure to private clients / international tax matters
• Bachelor’s degree + Enrolled Agent or US CPA qualification
• Ability to train and mentor junior staff on technical topics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organised, detail-focused, and able to work under pressure
• Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)

Responsibilities

• Apply in-depth knowledge of US tax concepts to complex client situations
• Analyse financial and tax information with a high level of accuracy and compliance
• Review and sign off on US tax returns, ensuring top-quality standards
• Develop practical and tailored tax solutions for private clients
• Lead on recommendations and implementation strategies
• Navigate complex, judgement-based tax matters and guide clients to optimal outcomes
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships based on trust and quality service
• Identify tax planning opportunities and additional advisory services
• Contribute to business development activities and client growth
• Use technology to optimise processes and increase efficiency
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering collaboration
• Support a positive, flexible, and team-oriented culture
