A leading American-based specialty insurance group with a strong international presence is looking to hire a Senior Casualty Underwriter to join its growing underwriting team in the Netherlands.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of large corporate casualty risks across the Dutch market
• Underwrite complex liability and P&C risks, including assessing, pricing, and negotiating insurance solutions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and corporate clients
• Monitor portfolio performance, profitability, and market trends
• Collaborate closely with underwriting, claims, and risk teams on strategic initiatives
• Contribute to portfolio growth and broader business development activities
• Ensure compliance with underwriting standards, internal guidelines, and risk appetite frameworks

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience underwriting large corporate casualty/liability risks
• Strong background within casualty, liability, or P&C insurance environments
• Experience working with large corporate or multinational clients
• Strong broker network and market knowledge within the Netherlands
• Strong commercial mindset with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
• Previous experience within international insurers or specialty insurance markets is highly desirable
• Fluent in both Dutch and English
