Senior IT Analyst – OT and Lab Applications (Contract)

This is a contract opportunity supporting a life sciences manufacturing and R&D organization. The role can be performed remotely with travel to sites as needed or based locally to Fort Dodge, IA or Clinton, IN. This person will sit within a TechOps IT team focused on Operational Technology (OT) and Lab Applications (OTLA), serving as a critical link between global IT and the operational technology driving manufacturing and R&D operations across two facilities. This person will advance capabilities at the intersection of IT and OT, supporting essential systems site-wide.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with manufacturing and R&D business customers to elicit, analyze, and translate business needs into detailed application and operational requirements
  • Own the application lifecycle for local OT/IT systems, including solution development, vendor management, computer system validation (CSV), break-fix support, and release management
  • Manage multiple concurrent IT/OT projects (approximately 15 across two facilities), developing project plans, managing budgets and schedules, and communicating status to stakeholders
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance for IT/OT solution integration and support, including complex troubleshooting of systems, infrastructure, and databases
  • Front business relationship reporting to Lab and OT teams at each site
  • Network proactively with IT and OT resources across the organization to stay current on initiatives, share reusable solutions, and implement best practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Process Automation, Operational Technology, Engineering, or related field – or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of IT experience and 3 years of OT infrastructure support experience
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving ability using logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Ability to self-manage priorities and work independently across multiple concurrent tasks
  • Working knowledge of relevant business processes (lab, supply chain, quality, science) and commitment to safety compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Technology Integrator or Business Analyst
  • Direct CSV experience and understanding of qualification processes
  • Proficiency with ITIL tools (ServiceNow) and MS Office
  • Technical understanding of manufacturing computer systems, infrastructure (networking, security, wireless), and relational databases
  • Experience networking across sites to identify and implement best practices
